SleepTracks Helped My Insomnia

SleepTracks has helped me with my insomnia a great deal. I started on their 8 week course which I found to be one of the best things I have used.

The way this program works is by following several techniques which help your insomnia by teaching you to wind down and relax before going to bed and helps to make the brain wind down too (which is my problem, my brain gets more active later at night). The course also teaches how to breathe properly and I originally thought this to be weird but it actually does help a great deal.

My insomnia treatment was working and I started getting longer sleep after only a few nights which not only made me feel better in myself but also made me happier at work and saw my productivity go up, which was noticed by my manager and after a couple of weeks I even got a promotion which meant I was earning "slightly" more money than I was previously.

Because I was getting a few extra hours sleep and not suffering as badly with my insomnia I found that I wasn't getting as ill as often I used to (I used to be ill a lot), and also had more energy to do other things instead of just sitting around thinking or feeling miserable and tired all day.

Suffered For 20 Years

I have had and suffered from insomnia for over 20 years now and it started when I was about age 10. I tried taking sleeping pills and sleep medicines which you can buy from any chemist or pharmacy and NONE of them ever worked. Some would make me drowsy and sleepy but I could never seem to get results which helped me to get a full nights sleep.

I went to my doctor when I was about 15 after trying various stuff for years to try and get some professional help for my insomnia. Because of the "Area" I live in (which is not a very good one) my doctor refused to prescribe me any tablets because he assumed I was going to sell them to junkies.

Since then I have tried more and more things to help me sleep and cure my insomnia but none work that well. I even went to a hypnotist to try and see if even that would help which it did for a while but eventually the sleepless nights came back. The problem I have is that I cant switch my brain off, I stay awake even though I am tired just "thinking" and have to wait until my brain just switches off and I get sleep for an hour or two at a time.

Since I have been using the internet I have used it to find me information about my insomnia and ways to cure it or just make life somewhat easier. I will post some of the things which have helped me and maybe they can also help others suffering too. I use a combination of techniques I have learned from several places and generally sleep between 5-8 hours a night now as opposed to 1-2 hours when I was younger.
